Montreal Olympic Park: Visitor Guide and Must-See Attractions

Discover MontrealMontreal Olympic Park: Visitor Guide and Must-See Attractions

Built for the 1976 Summer Olympic Games, the Olympic Park is one of Montreal’s most iconic sites. Much more than a stadium, it is a hub of cultural and scientific attractions that can easily be explored in a single outing.

The Montreal Tower and Olympic Stadium

At 165 metres tall and inclined at a 45-degree angle, the Montreal Tower is the tallest inclined tower in the world. By comparison, the Leaning Tower of Pisa tilts at about 5 degrees. Please note that the Tower’s tourist facilities, including the observatory and funicular, are currently undergoing renovations, with reopening expected around spring 2027. The Stadium, meanwhile, hosts events throughout the year.

Attractions at the Olympic Park

  • Biodome: five ecosystems of the Americas recreated inside the former velodrome.
