Montreal Biodome: Everything You Need to Know for Your Visit

Discover MontrealMontreal Biodome: Everything You Need to Know for Your Visit

Located in the former velodrome built for the 1976 Olympic Games and reopened in 2020 after renovations, the Biodome recreates five ecosystems of the Americas under one roof, accessible in every season. It is one of Montreal’s most popular attractions.

The Five Ecosystems

  • Tropical Rainforest: lush and warm even in winter, with parrots, sloths and dense vegetation.
  • Gulf of St. Lawrence: a large marine basin and coastal environment to explore.
  • Laurentian Maple Forest: Quebec’s mixed forest, changing with the seasons.
  • Labrador Coast and Sub-Antarctic Islands: northern environments where penguins and seabirds are a favourite with families.

Practical Information
